As promised, here are scans of my other vintage children's book find, The First Book of Electricity(1959). The text was written by husband-and-wife team Sam and Beryl Epstein. The illustrations are by Robin King--another illustrator new to me.

The plate on this page is really nice, no? This coloring technique seems to work best when there are strong spotted blacks. The hands, for instance, are less successful I think.
